It loses people on mobile
Slow pages, awkward menus or calls to action buried below the fold turn interested visitors into quick exits.
If your site is slow, dated or painful to update, I rebuild it around the business you run now—while protecting your domain, useful content and Google visibility.

The decision
Not every tired website needs replacing. A few targeted fixes are smarter when the foundations are sound. A rebuild starts to make sense when the same problems keep returning because they are built into the theme, platform or structure.
Slow pages, awkward menus or calls to action buried below the fold turn interested visitors into quick exits.
If changing a service, photo or price means waiting on someone else, the site slowly stops matching the business.
Duplicated pages, unclear services and brittle plugins make SEO and every future improvement harder than it needs to be.

What stays safe
Your current site may be awkward, but it can still hold years of useful search history. The migration is planned before the new design replaces anything.
Work you can verify
The old tourism site was slow, dated and split across WordPress and Wix. I rebuilt it as one fast site the owner can edit, integrated FareHarbor bookings, preserved established URLs and added the structured data the old build was missing.
“The finished website exceeded my expectations, with a seamless booking integration, great attention to detail, and a polished, professional result.”

How it works
I map the pages, rankings, forms and content worth keeping, plus the problems that actually need fixing.
You get a clear scope, fixed quote, page structure and redirect plan before the build begins.
I design and code the new site directly. You review it in progress while the old one stays live.
Content, tracking and redirects move across; then I verify the live pages, forms and crawl signals.
Cost and timing
Usually 2–4 weeks from kickoff. The final cost depends on page count, content, integrations and whether the old site needs a complex SEO migration.
For a wider comparison, use the NZ price guide and estimator: How much does a website cost in NZ? → Custom online stores are scoped separately and start around $6,000.
It should not when the migration is planned properly. Existing URLs are preserved where sensible, changed addresses receive one-to-one redirects, and useful ranking content is carried across. No developer can guarantee that rankings never move, but a controlled migration removes the common avoidable causes of a drop.
Yes. Your domain and email remain yours. The website can be replaced without changing the address customers know or interrupting the mail service connected to it.
No. If a focused repair is the better investment, I will say so. The $100 audit exists to separate fixable problems from a platform or structure that has genuinely reached its limit.
Yes. If you need regular edits, the build includes a straightforward content setup for the things you actually change. The domain, hosting, analytics and content stay in accounts you control.
I work virtually by default and can meet Auckland clients at their business by appointment. You deal directly with me—the developer doing the redesign—from the first audit through launch.
Send the URL and the biggest thing that is not working. I’ll reply personally with the sensible next step, likely scope and likely cost.
